Reifenhäuser sheet lines can process all common polymers. Three coextrusion feedblock systems, seven different series of die-heads, and polishing stacks of horizontal, vertical and inclined extrusion direction enable an optimal configuration for every application.
Extrusion lines from Reifenhäuser Cast Sheet Coating give you the flexibility to respond to market requirements. Change between PS and PP without having to purchase an additional screw.

Space-conserving production
The horizontal extrusion direction of the polishing stacks allows you to produce typical cup sheets in a simple and space-conserving manner. Increase the energy efficiency of your complete production by integrating a thermoformer into your line.

Production of thin sheets
Thermoformed lids for deli cups or margarine cups can normally not be produced on sheet lines because of too high tolerances. However, the vertical extrusion direction of MIREX-V makes it possible: Thanks to a specially developed air knife, the sheet can be polished and cooled between the roll and air jet.
High transparency, stiffness and good barrier properties are characteristic features of cups and trays of A-PET. Today, they are produced with a high content of post consumer recyclate, for example bottle reclaim.

Economic production of PET sheet with a high content of recycled material
REItruder twin-screw extruders allow you to produce sheets from recycled PET, directly and without costly previous compounding and drying of the material. Crystallization normally required for the production of A-PET and accounting for an additional energy input of 150 W/kg, can also completely be omitted.
Supermarket products are transported today over long distances. The necessary barrier properties are provided by a combination of different polymers processed into cups of up to nine layers.

Cutting raw material costs
Barrier sheets consist of various layer structures. These layers of different raw materials are always optimally distributed by the REIcofeed 2.1 coextrusion feed block – for high quality and efficient use of raw materials.
Expensive raw materials used in mineral filled sheets are replaced in part with mineral fillers such as chalk or talcum – with a positive effect on the quality of the end product.

Direct extrusion of fillers and polymers
Our REItruder twin-screw technology allows the direct processing of additives and fillers. Replace up to 50 percent of expensive raw materials with lower-priced alternatives, for example calcium carbonate and talcum, while reducing energy costs with direct extrusion: Thanks to the REItruder, production takes place in a single operation, from the basic product to the end product, with no intermediate cooling and re-melting of the plastic material.
In a huge amount of middle- and upper-class vehicles TPO is used for the outer layer of door panels and dashboards. TPO has similar haptic and optic properties like leather and is increasing the passive passenger protection.
